Find the real problem
I ask questions before offering answers. The stated request is not always the actual obstacle.
ABOUT JIM
My career has moved across industries and cities. The standard I hold myself to has stayed the same: listen well, earn trust, and do what I said I would do.

THE THROUGH-LINE
I’ve spent my career learning the same lesson in a lot of different rooms: people do business with people they trust.
That belief has taken me from Carnival and GoDaddy to Tesla, enterprise SaaS, insurance, and M&A advisory. I’m a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor, but titles have never been the through-line. Understanding what someone actually needs, earning the right to help, and following through—that’s the work.
Most of all, I’m a devoted father of three. It’s the role I care most about getting right, and it shapes the patience, accountability, and perspective I bring everywhere else.
A CAREER BUILT AROUND PEOPLE
I started in high-volume, customer-facing sales and grew into roles involving larger accounts, longer decisions, training, partnerships, and complex transactions. The products changed. The work of listening, communicating clearly, and keeping people moving forward did not.
Across Carnival, GoDaddy, Tesla, Text2Drive, Zurich, and Blue River Financial Group, I learned how to enter a new environment, understand the customer quickly, and create momentum without losing the relationship. At Blue River, where I worked through 2023, that meant supporting buy-side M&A searches and transactions where judgment and discretion mattered as much as activity.
I’m at my best where growth depends on trust: business development, customer success, strategic partnerships, and M&A-adjacent work.
HOW I WORK
I ask questions before offering answers. The stated request is not always the actual obstacle.
Whether it’s a sales process, a transaction, or a website, clarity helps people make confident decisions.
I care about the experience people have while the work gets done, not only the final outcome.
Momentum comes from consistent action, honest communication, and doing what you said you would do.
BUILDING NOW
Since leaving Blue River, I’ve kept building. Through AgoraTide, I develop websites and help businesses clarify how they present themselves online.
OwnerGauge helps business owners think through value and transaction readiness. Capital Candor helps startups identify relevant investors and approach fundraising with better information.
These projects keep me close to customers, markets, technology, and the practical work of turning an early idea into something people can actually use.
PLACES THAT SHAPED ME
Michigan gave me the work ethic. I attended Michigan State University for two years before continuing my education in South Florida, where I graduated from Palm Beach Atlantic University.
South Florida introduced me to warm weather, ocean air, and a Jimmy Buffett appreciation that stuck. Arizona widened the horizon. Atlanta became an important chapter for my career and family.
In April 2026, I moved to Encinitas, California. San Diego County is home now—a new coast, a fresh chapter, and a place where I’m ready to bring everything those earlier chapters taught me.
Every place added something: grit, openness, adaptability, and the reminder to enjoy the journey while building what comes next.
THE NEXT CHAPTER
Business development, customer success, partnerships, and M&A-adjacent roles are the strongest fit.
